• Waterproof Modular One Cover Body –Vacuum tested to ensure waterproofing for submerged use is functioning properly out of the box.
• Patent Pending Body Design – The body design has the access cover opposite the main drive gear. This means the large drive gear cannot deflect due to the screw on the side covers, or covers that are fastened with small screws. The gear mounting is completely captured inside the body for stable and accurate power.
• Modular Construction – The modular construction allows for easy transformation of all parts. They are CNC machined from aluminum bar stock.
• Dual Pentium Drag System – The Dual Pentium Drag System has multiple carbon fiber washers distributing equal pressure, on a solid wall in the center of the spool. Thus, keeping the spool always at the correct height as the drag washers wear. This system creates a smooth and powerful drag with a wide range. The spool is waterproof off of the reel as well.
• Waterproofing – One major problem with all reels is contamination from being in a saltwater environment. One does not know what is happening on the inside of the reel. Visser Reels has a great solution for this, that lets you see in the reel via a removable plug so the reel can be serviced if water enters your reel. This helps prevent expensive repair costs over time.
• Gears – ‘Gears Are The Transmission Of Power’, and Visser’s high-wear resistant aluminum bronze gears are machined from solid bar stock. The pinion is made from hardened stainless steel, and is supported by 3 ball bearings, and clutch. The special 3D tooth profile is digitally CNC machined to provide the ultimate smoothness and cranking power.
• Bail System – A unique telescoping patent-pending bail actuator system keeps the bail springs fully enclosed to ensure reliability and super smooth action. The dual action also shifts the toggle point to the center so accidental bail closings from a hard cast are eliminated. The CNC machined aluminum rotor is fully ported.
• Spool Design – The large capacity spool is made from CNC Machined aluminum alloy. The spool lip is made from 6AL-4V Titanium with super hard and slick Type 2 anodize coating. This aids in casting distance and protects the edge of the spool from damage due to nicks and deformation.
• Handle Versatility – Some waterproof reels can only be used for either left, or right hand retrieve. The handle on the Visser Reels can be switched quickly from either left or right hand use, and the reel will remain waterproof even after the handle and cover cap are removed.
• Lubrication & Service – Lubrication is the lifeline of any reel. Visser has looked extensively to see how they can make it the most convenient for the user to keep their gear in top shape. Visser recommends a minimum of one service per year, and the reels can use either oil or grease. The reels have a lubrication level cap to check lube and water breach warning.
• Torx Screw Driver – Visser Reels include a custom Torx screw driver (designed by Visser) to completely service the reel. This beefy tool is machined from aluminum and anodized for durability.
