Salt-tough and super-durable, the Tsunami Shield Surf Spinning Combo is specially built for the rigors of fishing the surf. If you’ve seen what saltwater can do to a reel, you’ll appreciate the technology that goes into every Tsunami Shield Saltwater Proof Spinning Reel. 13 strategically located internal seals add impenetrable protection against saltwater intrusion; in addition, the 4+1 system features sealed stainless steel ball bearings for absolute smoothness at all times. Built for lightweight toughness throughout, the Shield features a hybrid, machined and anodized aluminum body, heavy-duty rotor and bail, and machined aluminum, braid-ready spool to ensure long-term casting proficiency. The rugged internals include a CF3 carbon fiber drag system that delivers smooth power throughout its range. The matching Tsunami boat rod is a great match for the Shield reel. This well-balanced rod is built on a tough, responsive graphite composite blank and topped with stainless steel guides with braid-tough aluminum oxide inserts. The lightweight reel seat is flanked by stainless steel hoods for lockdown strength, and backed by a rubber Shrimp Wrap grip for a secure hold in wet conditions. Together, this rod-and-reel setup will serve you well on pier or jetty, rocks or sand!
