The principle of minimalism and the concentration on the essentials is continued in the new 19′ Certate series. The LT technology with higher sensitivity but also with more power has so far only been implemented in the Exist LT – now the new Certate LT has been added. The compact design of the reel body includes an enlarged Tough DigiGear gear and offers an even smoother and longer-lasting, optimal run.
Monocoque Body
A real milestone in reel construction, another highlight of the new Certate LT – our monocoque housing offers an incredibly torsion-resistant frame that can withstand the highest demands and loads.
This stronger, one-piece housing structure is more compact and smaller in external dimensions and offers even more space within the housing than traditional spinning reels. Due to the lack of screws and sockets, the additional interior space can be used for an enlarged gear drive wheel that takes up approx. 85% of the roller body surface.
MagSealed technology
The unique technology from space travel enables permanently smooth running without frictional resistance. The smooth running of this reel is impressive and the starting resistance has been reduced by 15% compared to the previous model. In addition, by using MagSealed technology, DAIWA has almost eliminated the penetration of salt water and dirt particles into the reel housing via the main axis.
Tough DigiGear Gear
The new 19′ Certate LT uses the new Tough DigiGear gearbox – a further development of the DigiGear II gearbox.
By using the latest CAD technologies, the influence of unexpected forces was simulated in the development of this drive wheel and the drive wheel was optimized in some key points. The extremely high strength and resilience of cold-forged Dura aluminum, which is milled on ultra-precise CNC machines, further contributes to the extreme resilience.
The barrel is almost silent and offers a previously unimagined sensitivity to detect even the finest bites down to the fingertips.
The combination of these three elements come together in the new Tough DigiGear gear and enable previously unattainable, silky-smooth running.
