The new high-end baitcast reel from the Daiwa Japan range. By combining the new Hyper Drive Design concept with the new SV BOOST brake concept, Daiwa offers an extremely light yet very resilient baitcast reel that has been pre-configured via the basic settings so that even an experienced angler does not have to change any settings to achieve optimal results to achieve results. The Hyper Drive Design concept includes a combination of a torsion-proof housing – the Hyper Armed Housing – made of magnesium, which mounts the gear unit securely and torsion-proof in the reel body – with a CNC-milled Hyper Drive Digigear. This gearbox is made even stronger by larger teeth in the drive wheel and offers very smooth and smooth running thanks to the special manufacturing process. The Hyper Tough Clutch freewheel lever was also designed so that it does not flip over unintentionally, even with violent throws and frequent use. Thanks to the Hyper Double Support, the Pinion Gear is supported on both sides by a ball bearing so that there is better and more even power transmission from the crank. The surface of the Pinion Gear has also been specially treated to reduce electrostatic corrosion and increase service life. The new SV Boost braking concept optimizes the casting distance and reduces the risk of line entanglements. This includes the following technical details:

• The extremely light G1 Duralumin coil starts immediately without much initial resistance
• The zero adjuster of the mechanical spool brake is preset so that optimal casting distances are achieved. (It is recommended not to change this setting)
• The Zero Shaft consists of an extremely short spool axis, which creates less friction and is therefore ideal for light casting weights.
• The TWS system ensures less frictional resistance in the line guide
• The magnetic brake is adjusted to the bait weight used for fine adjustment and ensures less tangles when casting with optimized casting performance – compared to the SV concept, the magnetic brake only intervenes to a lesser extent in the final phase of the cast.
