ODMs flagship surf rod, the Evolution, are available only as a custom-built rod, which previously has meant a wait for your rod to be built that would take a couple of months. Grumpys has been making custom spec rods built on the ODM Evolution blanks available in the shop that have proven to be very popular off the rack options. We are now making them available online. Unfortunately, due to the shipping costs/restrictions on shipping one-piece rods 96 inches and over, these will be in store pickup only.

• Note: There are two versions of the 8 foot spec rod. The reel seat NXE-82 will not fit a Van Staal reel. If you plan to use a Van Staal reel, order the NXE-82-VS. The VS version has a larger reel seat and foregrip to accommodate the larger VS reel foot.
