The pairing of over 100lbs of drag with a lower low gear and a higher high gear gives you the most versatility for big game fishing, whether you’re land based shark fishing, trolling or flying a kite these reels have the right gear ratios for you.
The 80W’s hold around 2000 yards of 130lb hollow filled, or around 1200 with a longer topshot of mono. If you bump up to 200lb you’re limited to about 1000-1200 yards filled.
